Who I am

I am a Software QA / Test Engineer in Cairo, working as a Test Engineer at Nezam, a software testing services company.

My experience

I have about two years of QA experience, testing live software products on outsourced projects for clients in Australia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt. I am often the only QA on a project, so I own the test process from requirements to release.

Key skills

API and webhook testing, SQL data checks, test design and planning, automation with Selenium, TestNG, Java, Playwright and REST Assured, and performance testing with JMeter.

What I am targeting

QA / Test Engineer, AI QA and test automation roles, and freelance testing work. My Data Science diploma at Cairo University is my step towards AI QA.

    Test design and planning

    I review requirements for testability and write test plans, test scenarios and test cases, and I cover the full test process.

A software testing services company.

  1. I test live software products on outsourced projects for clients in Australia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt, across e-commerce, EdTech and LMS, healthcare, legal tech, agritech and games.
  2. I am often the only QA on a project. Each sprint I review requirements for testability, write test plans, design test scenarios and test cases, run testing, and lead defect triage, so I cover the whole test process.
  3. I run functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory and usability testing, plus cross-browser and cross-device checks on web, Android and iOS. I also test mobile games on Android and iOS, including gameplay, device coverage and UI/UX.
  4. I test REST APIs and webhooks with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI and REST Assured, and I check data integrity with SQL in PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
  5. On real client projects I contribute automated tests to team Selenium and TestNG frameworks in Java, using Page Object Model and data-driven tests, and I use Playwright.
  6. I run load, stress, spike, endurance, scalability and volume tests with JMeter.
  7. I write bug reports and handle each defect through its whole lifecycle.
  8. I mentor interns and junior testers, and I delivered ISTQB CTFL exam-prep training to about 100 attendees.
